Several years ago I fell in love with traveling and discovered I was destined to live a somewhat unordinary life. A few years later I met my whimsical husband Jared and together we have embraced the idea of Ubuntu – “I am who I am, because of who we all are.”
We believe that empowering an individual can instigate a ripple effect that spreads far beyond anything we could ever imagine. I enjoy adventures with Jared, reading, collecting recipes, swimming in the ocean, eating Vietnamese food, hanging out with artisans & interns, cooking and blogging.
I spent the last 15 years devoted to altruistic endeavors such as clean water, gender equality, anti-trafficking campaigns and social entrepreneurialism.
My wife and I live and work together in Mombasa, Kenya and consider it a privilege to live here. We love the rawness of life it offers us. I believe in Africa’s beauty, talent and excellence and it brings me great joy to see her shine.
I believe we are all interconnected; created for interdependence. I am a proponent of ubuntu and dream of an egalitarian society. Love wins.
